The Philippine Red Cross partnered with several malls to open drive-thru collection centers for saliva tests in an effort to bring the more affordable option closer to the public.
The saliva test is a cheaper and faster alternative to the gold standard RT-PCR test. This type of test skips the discomfort of the swab inserted up the nostril, and only needs saliva samples to determine the COVID-19 result of an individual.

Tests are priced at P2,000 each, with results out in three to four hours, depending on the amount of of samples to be processed. Bookings and payments can be made online.
Collection takes only 10 minutes.
Prior to your appointment, fill out the e-CIF form for contact tracing. On the day itself, arrive 15 minutes before your schedule.
Bring an ID, a pen, and confirmation codes for a smooth experience. Wearing of face shields and masks is mandatory.
Keep in mind that eating, drinking, gargling, smoking, and brushing of teeth at least 30 minutes before the test is prohibited. Lipstick, lipbalm, or lip cosmetic products must be removed prior to sample collection.
Before returning the barcoded specimen container, ensure that there is no discoloration.
Results will be sent to you via e-mail, or may be tracked on the PRC website.
These malls offer drive-thru collection for saliva test samples:
SM Megamall
Operating hours: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily
Book an appointment and pay online. Collection will be at the Bus Bay, Mega A for SM Megamall.
Once there, present your ID and confirmation code.
You'll then be asked to deposit your sample in a barcoded specimen container.
Samples will be taken to the molecular laboratory of the PRC in Mandaluyong and the Port Area.
SM Mall of Asia
Operating hours: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily
Those in Pasay can go to the collection center in SM Mall of Asia. Be sure to book an appointment and pay online in advance.
Samples will be collected at the 5 Ecom Parking at Pacific Drive corner Palm Coast Avenue, Pasay City.
Present your ID and confirmation code to get the barcoded speciment container. After depositing enough of your sample, you can return it to the collector.
SM Southmall
Operating hours: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily
If you live in Las Piñas, SM Southmall can receive drive-thru collection for saliva tests. Collection with be at the North West Front Parking.
Book an appointment and pay online. Bring a valid ID and your confirmation code.
You'll then be asked to deposit your sample in a barcoded specimen container. Return once there is enough of the sample.
SM Fairview
Operating hours: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily
Book an appointment and pay online. Collection will be at Open Parking H.
Once there, present your ID and confirmation code.
You'll then be asked to deposit your sample in a barcoded specimen container.

Robinsons Place Manila
Operating hours: 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily
Before heading out, be sure to book an appointment and pay online via the dedicated website for Robsinsons Manila sign-ups. Collection will be at the 6th Floor Parking of the mall.
Present a valid ID, after which you'll be given a barcoded specimen container.
Deposit enough of the sample and return the vial to the collector.
Araneta City
Operating hours: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Book an appointment and pay online. Collection will be at the Araneta City Bus Port, right in front of Ali Mall.
After showing proof of identity, you'll be given a barcoded specimen container where you need to put enough of your saliva sample. Once done, return to the collector.
Market Market
Operating hours: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily
Book an appointment and pay online. Collection will be a the 3rd Floor Parking Building Parking.
Present a valid ID, after which you'll be given a barcoded specimen container.
Deposit enough of the sample and return the vial to the collector.
Ayala Malls Circuit
Operating hours: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily
Book an appointment and pay online. Collection will be at The Deck of the Ayala Malls Circuit.
