Sara Duterte is Top Pick for President: Pulse Asia Survey

President Rodrigo Duterte's eldest daughter, Davao Mayor Sara Duterte, is the choice of a quarter of Filipino voters, if elections were held at the end of 2020, pollster Pulse Asia said.

Duterte-Carpio was the choice of 26% of 2,400 respondents in the Nov. 23 to Dec. 2 poll, Pulse Asia said. The Davao City mayor has not discussed her plans for 2022 and has kept a relatively low profile while helping out in recent typhoon relief efforts.

Tied at second place were Sen. Grace Poe, who lost to President Duterte in 2016 and former Sen. Bongbong Marcos, who lost in the 2016 elections to Vice President Leni Robredo. Both scored 14%, according to Pulse Asia.

Manila Mayor Isko Moreno polled at fourth place with 12% followed by Sen. Manny Pacquiao with 10%. Vice President Leni Robredo was the choice of 8%.

In the Vice Presidential race, Domagoso was number 1, followed by Sara Duterte, Senate president Vicente Sotto III, Marcos, Pacquiao, Senator Bong Go and Sorsogon Governor Francis Escudero.
