Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte Carpio has asked survey firms to exclude her from future polls on the 2022 presidential elections, saying she would rather focus on the COVID-19 pandemic.

President Rodrigo Duterte's eldest daughter topped Pulse Asia Inc's Nov. 23 to Dec. 2 poll wherein she was the choice of one in every four of 2,400 respondents to replace her father.

"The Presidential Elections in 2022 is farthest from the minds of many Filipinos as we focus firmly on how to survive the economic and humanitarian crisis still in front of us as we continue to battle the effects of COVID-19 on our people and our country," Duterte-Carpio said.
