Sen. Bong Revilla Says He Has COVID-19, Doing 'Okay'

Senator says his wife and children tested negative.

Senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr. said Sunday he tested positive for the novel coronavirus. The actor-politician announced his diagnosis on his official Facebook account and said he was doing "okay."

Revilla said his wife, Lani Mercado-Revilla, and their children all tested negative and were also doing okay. The senator said he and his family got tested after they found out that one in their household and another in his staff had COVID-19.

Revilla said he was last went outside his house on Monday in the Senate, and on Tuesday for his late father, ex-Sen. Ramon Revilla Sr.'s 40th Day.

The lawmaker said he was still under quarantine on the advice of his doctors.
