Siargao is Best Island in Asia, Say Readers of Condé Nast Traveler

Popular surfing destination Siargao has been named readers' choice for Best Island in Asia by lifestyle magazine Condé Nast Traveler.

Siargao took the lead in the top 10 islands in Asia list which also included popular Philippine tourist spots Palawan and Boracay -- ranking third and eighth respectively.

7. Koh Samui, Thailand
8. Boracay, Philippines

Known as the "Surfing Capital of the Philippines," Siargao is famous for the Cloud 9 surfing spot as well as for its pristine white sand beaches.

Siargao has been attracting several tourists in recent years and has developed a reputation as a go-to island getaway. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Siargao has served as an island hub for digital nomads.

Condé Nast Traveler's Readers' Choice Awards is an annual survey that ranks the world's best hotels, resorts, islands, and cities.
