As soon as lockdown restrictions in your area permit, getting registered to vote for the 2022 elections can be done at an SM Mall near you, Comelec said Friday.
Partnering with the country's largest shopping mall chain will make signing up to vote easier ahead of the Sept. 30 deadline.
The partnership announced Friday involves 81 SM Supermalls nationwide. Operations will depend on local lockdown restrictions (voter registration is prohibited under ECQ and MECQ) and will follow mall hours.
Comelec earlier opened voter registration sites in Robinsons Malls and Ayala Malls to get more people to register for the 2022 elections. Sign up hours in local Comelec offices have also been extended starting Monday until Sept. 30 deadline.
Comelec said it has exceeded the 59 million target voters for 2022, but is encouraging more Filipinos to participate.
