MANILA -- Student athletes can resume training in areas under the two lowest COVID-19 restrictions -- GCQ and MGCQ, Malacanang said, after some coaches found themselves in hot water over training bubbles.
The controversy has forced the resignation of UST Growling Tigers coach Aldin Ayo over a training bubble that allegedly violated quarantine rules.
Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque said the Commission on Higher Education would issue guidelines on the matter.
Except for Iligan City which is under the stricter MECQ, the entire country is under GCQ and MGCQ until Sept. 30.
