Tagaytay Opens COVID-19 Vaccine Registration to 12 to 17 Year-Olds

More cities allowing minors to sign up for jabs.

Tagaytay on Wednesday said those aged 12 to 17 years old could start pre-registering for their COVID-19 vaccine.

The sign-up is open to all residents of Tagaytay City. To pre-register, individuals must get in touch with their barangay's vaccine focal person. A place in line will be saved, but jabs will not yet be administered to minors.

The Food and Drug Administration in early September cleared Moderna for emergency use on minors as more of the younger population get infected with the super-contagious Delta variant. Doses can only be administered to those 18 years old above until authorities approve of vaccines for minors.

Several cities in Metro Manila have also opened sign-ups for those aged 12 to 17 years old.
