Mandatory quarantine upon arrival was also scrapped for fully vaccinated travelers. Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated individuals are still required to undergo RT-PCR testing and quarantine for five days upon arrival, with an RT-PCR test to be taken on the fifth day.

Unvaccinated travelers who can present a negative RT-PCR test within 72 hours of travel via the Thailand Pass system can forego quarantines.

Here are the updated travel requirements for Thailand starting May 1:

For fully vaccinated individuals:

Take note that processing of requirements submitted for the application of a Thailand Pass may take three to seven days.

For unvaccinated or partially vaccinated individuals:

  • Five-day hotel booking
  • Medical insurance with a coverage of no less than $10,000 (approximately P523,545)
