Remember Tiffany Uy, who made history five years ago for achieving the highest average grade in UP? She passed the recent board exam for doctors, placing fifth, again inspiring awe on social media.
Uy graduated magna Cum Laude from the UP College of Medicine earlier this year. When she graduated from the BS Biology program in 2015, she had a near-perfect grade-point average of 1.004, the highest in UP's post-war history.
She scored 88.08% in the Physician Licensure exams, a 0.59-point difference from the topnotcher, Jomel Garcia Lupides, also from UP Manila.
Social media was happy to take in the news, with some netizens branding her as a new "Patron Saint". As of 2:30 p.m. Thursday, "Tiffany Uy" was mentioned in 26,000 Twitter posts.

In a past interview with ANC, Uy said she wasn't always an achiever in class, especially during her early days in school when she had problems understanding mathematical concepts. One Twitter user quipped: "If Tiffany Uy was bad at math, then I still have hope."
"I don’t know my IQ, but a lot of my friends say I don’t have common sense, I don’t have spatial knowledge — I get lost in buildings. When I was young I had to go to two pre-schools," she said.
"It’s a blessing that PE isn’t included in the calculation of the grade, wala akong nauno talaga na PE except for PE lecture," she said.
