Filipinos planning to visit South Korea can apply for tourist visas starting June 1, the South Korean Embassy in Manila said Thursday.

Application and issuance of all types of visas, including tourist, will resume on June 1, the embassy said in an advisory.

"Submission of Consent for Isolation will no longer be required," it said.

For multiple entry visas issued before April 5, which have not expired, the embassy said these can be used without reapplication.

The embassy added that other details such as the visa application procedure would be announced soon.

Fully vaccinated travelers intending to travel to Seoul must present a negative COVID-19 test result taken 48 hours before departure, a valid vaccination certificate, and a foreigner registration card.
