Former senator Antonio Trillanes IV said Thursday he would run to reclaim his seat under the ticket of Vice President Leni Robredo, who is seeking the presidency.
The former Navy lieutenant had praised Robredo for accepting the challenge to be the face of the "true opposition" by running as president.
"I am so honored to run as Senator under the slate of our next President Leni Robredo", he said on social media.
Even as he was out of politics due to term limits, Trillanes had been one of the most outspoken administration critics.
