UPCAT Returns for Academic Year 2024-2025 Applicants

The University of the Philippines will bring back the UP College Admission Test for incoming freshmen for academic year 2024-2025, the first since the pandemic struck, it said Thursday.

It will be the first UPCAT after a three-years suspension due to COVID. In lieu of a written exam, UP screened applicants based on their high school performance through a virtual application process.

It will start accepting applications as early as March 2023 in anticipation of large increase in applications.

Who can apply?

Current Grade 11 students who are expected to graduate from senior high school at the end of 2023-2024 may apply. If they get admitted, they will attend classes in the first semester of AY 2024-2025.

When is the exam?

It will be held face-to-face on June 3 and 4, 2023 in almost a hundred testing centers nationwide.
