Foam giant Uratex said it would provide prone pillows to hospitals to help critically ill COVID-19 patients breathe while lying on their bellies.
Uratex, which makes foam for almost everything from mattresses to motorcycle seats, posted a callout on Facebook with a contact person for hospital staff.
The prone pillow "helps the patients to lie on their stomachs, facilitates better breathing, and allows proper placement of ventilation equipment," the company said.

The Philippines is battling a dangerous surge in infections that is filling up hospitals and resulted in a lockdown or ECQ in Metro Manila, Laguna, Cavite, Rizal and Bulacan. The Department of Health has recommended that it be extended beyond April 4.
On Thursday, the DOH reported 8,920 new cases, bringing the total active cases to 138,948.
