New Year 2021: Valenzuela Bans All Use of Fireworks

You'll have to ring in the new year some other way.

Valenzuela City has banned banned the use of all types of fireworks in ahead of the New Year's Eve revelries, which will be celebrated with COVID-19 safety measures in mind.

Making, selling, distributing, owning, using, or playing with fireworks and pyrotechnic devices are prohibited.

Those found violating the city ordinance will be fined with P5,000 and/or imprisonment of up to 30 days.

Suspended business permits await manufacturers or sellers who sell firecrackers.
