WATCH: How Buses are Disinfected vs COVID-19 in Northern Mindanao

It's to ensure the safety of passengers and prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Public transportation operators across the country are gradually finding the new normal under COVID-19 quarantines. In Northern Mindanao, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board showed how commuter buses are being disinfected to ensure passengers' safety. 

A video of the disinfection was shared on the Department of Transportation's official Facebook page.

Passengers are also required to sit one seat apart to meet physical distancing requirements.

The nation’s pandemic task force earlier issued guidelines for buses, where passengers must wear masks at all times, undergo temperature scans, and observe physical distancing on board.
