Pop superstar Ariana Grande and Filipino influencer Bretman Rock trended on social media Monday, with the "Break Free" singer posting about the massive Pasig Rally for Vice President Leni Robredo and Bretman expressing his support for the presidential candidate.
The "god is a woman" singer reposted a video of Robredo supporters singing her hit song "Break Free" during the Emerald Avenue rally where more than 90,000 supporters were present, according to campaign organizers citing Pasig PNP. "Break Free" was trending on Monday morning with almost 29,000 tweets.
"I could not believe this was real," said Grande, followed by a row of pleading emojis in a repost of a crowd shot. "I love you more than words."
In another Instagram Story, Grande shared a video from the ground of Filipinos singing the hit song during the rally.
The 28-year-old, however, did not explicitly express support for Robredo's candidacy, except for posting about the rally in her Instagram stories.
At around the same time as the Pasig rally, Grande also posted photos of R.E.M. cosmetics and Ru Paul's Drag Race season 14 contestant Willow Pill in her stories.
