A policeman who shot dead a woman in Quezon City denied a hand in her death, until he was confronted by a viral video. He will be charged with murder, the Philippine National Police Chief, Gen. Guillermo Eleazar, said Tuesday.
Eleazar apologized to Luceño's family. He also thanked the person who uploaded the video.
"Kung walang video, total denial. Titingnan ka pa ng buong kasinungalingan. Pero nung nakita ang video, hindi na siya puwedeng tumanggi dito." he said.

In the viral video, Master Sergeant Hensie Zinampan was seen approaching Lilibeth Valdez, who was outside her home in Barangay Greater Fairview. Zinampan drew a firearm from his bag, walked closer to Valdez, pulled her hair, and shot her, Beverly Luceño, the victim's daughter, told GMA News.
Luceño said that the suspect and his brother earlier had a disagreement that led to a fistfight. They were both drunk when it happened.
Eleazar ordered the filing of administrative and criminal charges against Zinampan to immediately dismiss him from service. Zinampan initially denied shooting Valdez
