Luis "Chavit" Singson showered his constituents with P500 and P100 from a gold gun to show what the spirit of giving during Christmas looks like in his fiefdom.

Wearing his signature shades, a maskless Singson blasted money to adoring crowds in Narvacan, Ilocos Sur, where he is mayor. At one point, he emerged from the sunroof of his black Hummer to shoot more wads of cash.

One resident even reached out for a P100 bill that flew to the roof of a house.

Singson captioned the video with money with wings emojis, and hashtags #HappyHolidays and #SpiritofGiving.

How rich is Chavit Singson? He was a constant bettor and ringside audience during Sen. Manny Pacquiao's fights and bankrolled the Philippines' hosting of the 2016 Miss Universe competition, even buying a yacht for the occasion. He also owns Baluarte, a sprawling zoo filled with African safari animals in Ilocos Sur.

He is also an influential politician. In 2000, his exposes of jueteng kickbacks against his erstwhile drinking buddy, then President Joseph Estrada, led to the latter's downfall. Singson had said that he was supporting the tandem of Bongbong Marcos and Sara Duterte-Carpio for president and vice president in the 2022 elections.
