Cold and wet winds blowing from the northeast or Amihan will bring chilly weather to most parts of the country until the middle of this week, PAGASA said Sunday.
In Baguio City, temperatures were forecast to drop to as low as 10 degrees Celsius, PAGASA said. In Metro Manila, the forecast temperature for the day is 20 to 29 degrees Celsius.
There is a "surge" in the northeast monsoon over the weekend and in the next few days, said PAGASA forecaster Aldczar Aurelio. This will bring cloudy to partly cloudy skies, he said.
As of Sunday, PAGASA has not monitored a low pressure area or brewing storm, he said.
The weather bureau also issued a gale warning since the Amihan could stir rough seas off the country's eastern coast.
