Former senator Bongbong Marcos said Wednesday "it's entirely possible" for him to face off Vice President Leni Robredo again in the 2022 national elections after losing to her in 2016.
Marcos, whose defeat to Robredo was affirmed by the Supreme Court sitting as the Presidential Electoral Tribunal, said he was confident that he could win against her if the battle is a one-on-one fight.
"If it’s going to be a one-on-one fight, that will be good because I know I can win that," Marcos said in a virtual forum.
Both Marcos and Robredo have been linked to possible 2022 presidential bids but neither of them has confirmed any plan.
Marcos so far has only confirmed plans to run for a national post while Robredo said her options include the presidency or running for a local post.
