(UPDATE) Netizens on Monday night reported problems accessing Google services including video-sharing platform YouTube and email service Gmail.

Google became a trending topic on Twitter as well as Gmail, and #YouTubeDOWN as netizens took to social media to report the inaccessibility of the apps. Reports of the outage surfaced before 8 p.m. and the services were back for some users an hour later.

Google did not immediately reply to a request for comment from reportr.

The problem came just days after Facebook Messenger and Instagram were inaccessible to social media users for a time.
