Metro Manila and several other areas will remain under COVID-19 Alert Level 1 until the end of April, Malacañang said Wednesday as Filipino Catholics observe their first Holy Week out of quarantine in two years.

The capital region will stay under the loosest set of restrictions from April 16 to 30, Communications Sec. Martin Andanar said. Under Alert Level 1, all businesses are allowed to operate at 100% capacity and children are allowed outdoors.
