(UPDATE) A Magnitude 5.8 earthquake struck off Occidental Mindoro on Wednesday, jolting parts of Southern Luzon, including Metro Manila, Phivolcs said.
Twitter was buzzing with users checking up on each other as soon as the quake struck around 9:09 a.m.
The earthquake struck northeast of Abra de Ilog, Occidental Mindoro with a depth of 110 kilometers. Aftershocks were expected, Phivolcs said.
