The Miss Universe Philippines 2021 finals will be hosted by the province of Bohol, organizers said Friday, after the original schedule was pushed back due to COVID quarantine limitations.
The government's inter-agency task force on pandemic response has approved the conduct of pageant activities in Bohol from Sept. 26 to Oct. 1 subject to health and safety protocols, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said.
The finals will be held on Sept. 30 at the Henann Resort Convention Center in Panglao, Bohol according to organizers.
"We are grateful to the Governor Arthur Yap, the Bohol LGUs and Tourism board and the IATF for allowing us to stage this year’s pageant in this most idyllic destination," organizers said.
The winning candidate will succeed Rabiya Mateo and will represent the country at the 2021 Miss Universe pageant in Eliat, Israel.
