Outdoor dining is allowed in areas under the modified enhanced community quarantine or MECQ, Malacañang said Monday as the government eased COVID-19 restrictions in the Greater Manila Area.
Restaurants and food establishments with alfresco dining services can operate at 50% capacity in MECQ areas. Indoor dining however remains prohibited, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said.
"Yung indoor dining bawal pa din po bagamat allowed na ang alfresco at outdoor [dining]," Roque said during a Palace press briefing.
Food deliveries and take-outs are still allowed in areas under MECQ, he added.
From April 12 to 30, Metro Manila, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal as well as Santiago City in Isabela, and Quirino and Abra are under MECQ.
