Residents of Eastern Visayas and Dinagat Islands may experience heavy to intense with at times torrential rains, while moderate to heavy with at times intense rains are expected over the Surigao del Norte, Agusan del Norte, Bohol, and Cebu.
Agaton was forecast to remain almost stationary or move west northwestward slowly, and would likely remain a tropical storm for most of the forecast period, although PAGASA did not rule out a possible downgrading to tropical depression as it passed on land.
Agaton was forecast to degenerate into a remnant low as Malakas, an incoming tropical cyclone, begins to assimilate its circulation by late Tuesday or early Wednesday.
