LRT-1 Cavite Extension is Halfway Done, Says DOTr
The LRT-1 Cavite Extension Project, which is expected to shorten the travel time from Baclaran to Bacoor, is halfway done, the Department of Transportation said.
Once operational, the project is expected to shorten travel time from Baclaran to Bacoor to 25 minutes from 1 hour and 10 minutes. It can accommodate 500,000 to 800,000 passengers daily.
The Cavite Extension Project aims to expand the existing LRT-1 by 11 kilometers, with an additional eight stations passing through Parañaque City, Las Piñas City, and Bacoor City.
The LRT-1 is a joint initiative of the Department of Transportation, the Light Rail Transit Authority, and Light Rail Manila Corp.
