The Philippines on Wednesday received 100,000 doses of China-made Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine, which were donated by the United Arab Emirates.

COVID-19 Vaccine czar Sec. Carlito Galvez Jr. earlier said that the UAE was eyeing to donate some 500,000 doses of the jab to the Philippines.

The vaccine, which was used on President Rodrigo Duterte, was the first Chinese jab approved by the World Health Organization.
