Entire Philippines Placed Under Alert-Based Lockdowns Starting Nov. 22

The entire country will be placed under the alert-based COVID-19 restriction system starting Nov. 22 that aims to avoid large-scale lockdowns and allow the broader economy to operate, Malacañang said late Saturday.

The government's inter-agency task on COVID-19 approved the implementation of the Phase 4 of the Alert Level System placing the remaining regions under respective alerts until Nov. 30, according to acting presidential spokesperson Karlo Nograles.

Malacañang earlier announced the alert levels for other areas in the country, with Metro Manila remaining under Alert Level 2 until the end of the month.

Here are the alert levels to be implemented on Nov. 22 to 30:

Alert Level 3

  • Apayao
  • Mountain Province
  • Ifugao
  • Dinagat Islands
  • Sulu

Alert Level 2

  • Benguet
  • Abra
  • Kalinga
  • Oriental Mindoro
  • Puerto Princesa
  • Marinduque
  • Romblon
  • Palawan
  • Occidental Mindoro
  • Butuan City
  • Surigao del Norte
  • Agusan del Sur
  • Surigao del Sur
  • Agusan del Norte
  • Basilan
  • Cotabato City
  • Tawi-Tawi
  • Lanao del Sur
  • Maguindanao
