Vaccine supply, not hesitancy, is keeping people from getting immunized against COVID-19, Sen. Nancy Binay said Tuesday.

Binay was asked about President Rodrigo Duterte's statement the night before that those who refuse to get vaccinated face arrest.

Even as vaccination is not mandatory, Manila residents line up for as long as eight hours just to  get vaccinated before supplies for the day run out, the senator said.

"Vaccine hesitancy is not the problem. Vaccine supply is the biggest problem so we need to address that," Binay told ANC.

"Remember may problema tayo sa supply. It's not as if ayaw ng mga kababayan natin na magpabakuna."
