Ateneo de Manila said Friday it would "gradually return to in-person classes in January 2022 subject to pandemic restrictions.
The return to campus will be implemented in phases beginning with college and graduate school units, ADMU said, noting that graduating students are the priority. The campus will also gradually re-open to other academic activities such as research, teacher consultation, and counseling and psychological services, it said.
"As the pandemic situation remains uncertain, all plans are subject to change depending on the circumstances and new directives issued by IATF, DepEd, CHED, DOH, DOLE, the Quezon City local government, and other pertinent government agencies," ADMU said.

Ateneo will be implementing "strict safety and health protocols", requiring all employees and guests entering its campuses in Loyola Heights, Rockwell, Pasig, and Salcedo to be fully vaccinated or undergo appropriate COVID-19 testing to be conducted by the University physician.
The Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health earlier in January started doing limited on-site classes in the Ortigas, Pasig campus.
Ateneo said detailed guidelines will be released by the two concerned units in the coming days, while a separate announcement will be made for its Basic Education schools that cover senior high school, junior high school, and grade school "in due time".
