One Hand Carry Bag Policy: Cebu Pacific Expands Exemptions

Cebu Pacific on Thursday expanded the list of items exempted from its one carry-on bag policy as more domestic destinations ease travel restrictions.

Carry-on bags must not exceed 7 kilos in weight, and must fit in the overhead bin or under the seat.

The following items may be carried on top of the single hand-carry bag starting Mar. 1, 2022:

  • Extra bag for parents/guardians if travelling with children
  • Medical-related needs of passengers such as but not limited to walking sticks, crutches, prosthetic devices, personal wheelchair
  • Items purchased inside the airport – proof of receipt is required to be presented to the counter agent/gate boarding agent;
  • Gadget or food item that cannot be accepted for check-in
  • Small bag that can fit under the seat.

Only one exemption will be allowed per passenger.

Failure to comply will result in a gate baggage charge of P1,000 per person fo domestic flights.

International flights will charge P1,500 for short haul flights and and P3,000 for long haul flights in the coming months.

We also request for everyJuan’s cooperation as we do our best to avoid any unnecessary flight delays as much as possible," said Candice Iyog, Vice President for Marketing and Customer Experience at Cebu Pacific.
