The certificate was given after PLM "complied with the requirements of the Commission on Higher Education and Department of Health for the reopening of campuses of higher education institutions for limited face-to-face classes during the COVID-19 pandemic as embodied in the Joint Memorandum Circular No. 2021-001, covering the period effective this date until first semester Academic Year 2021-2022."
"This will allow PLM to do its part in reinforcing the health care frontlines and ensures that our future doctors and nurses will be equipped with the proper training as they join our brave heatlh workers in healing fellow Filipinos," PLM President Emmanuel Leyco said.
The university's staff and faculty assured the public health and safety protocols to prevent the spread of COVID-19 among teachers and students would be strictly observed.
Students who fulfill rotation duty at Ospital ng Maynila Medical Center (OMMC) will be guaranteed RT-PCR testing and prioritization for the COVID-19 vaccine.
PLM began application for clearance last Friday, which included consultations with students, parents, faculty, and practicing doctors at OMMC.
