The Philippines on Sunday logged 1,712 new COVID-19 cases as vaccinations are made available in select LRT-2 stations to get more people to vaccinate.
The day's tally brought active cases to 60,532 , with a total of 3,686 new recoveries and 77 new deaths reported.
Overall, a total of 3,652,203 COVID-19 cases have been reported since the pandemic began in March 2020, of which 3,535,987 have recovered and 55,684 died.
Passengers can get their COVID-19 vaccines in LRT-2 stations starting Tuesday, Feb. 22. First dose and booster vaccinations are available at Recto Station every Tuesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and at Antipolo Station every Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Those who intend to get their vaccines should first register at manilacovid19vaccine.ph for Recto Station vaccination and antipolobantaycovid.appcase.net for Antipolo Station.
Over 61 million individuals in the country have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
