Angkas, JoyRide, Move It Resume on Nov. 23, Here are the Guidelines

(UPDATE) Motorcycle taxis such as Angkas, Joyride and Move It were allowed to resume operations starting Monday (Nov. 23) under the government's pilot run program in a bid to ease public transportation as the COVID-19 pandemic persists.

Here are the COVID-19 protocols approved by the government's national task force on pandemic response for motorcycle taxis:

For passengers:

1. Wear protective gear such as a jacket or long-sleeved shirt, closed shoes, long pants and other necessary protective gear for the whole duration of the ride.

2. Use their own helmet with full face visor closed at all times during the ride. This will serve as their face shield too.

3. Wear a face mask.

4. Sit front-facing only.

5. Sanitize hands before boarding and after disembarking the motorcycle.

6. FIll out the health declaration forms via the motorcycle taxi app.

7. Clean and disinfect helmets, riding apparel, and shields after each ride.

8. Pay only through the motorcycle taxi online app.

For drivers:

1. Be in good health condition as certified by public hospitals or DOH-accredited clinics.

2. Wear protective gear such as a jacket or long-sleeved shirt, closed shoes, long pants, and other necessary protective gear for the whole duration of the ride.

3. Wear a reflectorized vest with relevant motorcycle taxi branding and ID. Drivers must be part of the Department of Transportation's master list of motorcycle taxi drivers.

4. Use their own helmet with full face visor closed at all times during the ride. This will serve as their face shield.

5. Wear a face mask.

6. Submit a body temperature report and motorcycle sanitation report prior to starting the workday to the ride-hailing service.

7. Fill out the health declaration forms via the motorcycle taxi apps prior to taking rides.

8. Sanitize hands before boarding the motorcycle.

9. The motorcycle unit should not have modified parts, components, or accessories.

10. Always have a government-approved barrier between the driver and passenger for the whole duration of the ride.

11. Clean and disinfect helmets, riding apparel, seats, and shields after each passenger's ride.

12. Only collect payments made through online channels.
