Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Caprio said she would set up distribution centers for free face masks and face shields as part of measures to cap, if not bring COVID-19 cases to zero in the southern metropolis.
Free distribution of masks have been in place in the city since March of last year, but only through traffic officers on duty. Duterte wants to establish PPE or Personal Protective Equipment centers.
“To make sure ang mga tao makatultol sila kung asa sila makakuha ug face masks and face shields, we need to establish those PPE centers for the general public ," she said.

Davao will distribute donated PPEs before utilizing its budget for protective equipment.
