Back to Work for Defense Chief Lorenzana After Bout With COVID

He's leading response in disputed waters.

Defense Sec. Delfin Lorenzana said Tuesday he has recovered from COVID-19 and would return to work.

The 72-year-old Lorenzana, who tested positive for the disease earlier this month, said he was free of COVID-19.

“Thank you for your prayers and for wishing prayers and for wishing me well during my COVID-19 experience. I was asymptomatic and my last test result after completing my isolation period is already negative," he said in a statement.

"I can finally return to work and continue serving the Filipino people,” he added.

Lorenzana on Monday night attended the pandemic response task force's meeting with President Rodrigo Duterte via video conference.
