The Department of Tourism on Monday said tourists could now contact its hotline for urgent inquiries about pandemic travel requirements.
Travelers may call the DOT hotline at 1-386, which operates daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. It is available in both English and Filipino for foreign travelers and local tourists.
Old quarantines have been replaced by a five-step alert level-based system that favors granular lockdowns in high risk areas. Due to vaccinations and lower daily cases, several tourist destinations under the three lowest alert levels reopened to domestic travelers provided they comply with vaccination or testing requirements.

The country also reopened to foreign tourists last week after almost two years of restricted travel to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Guidelines, requirements, and potential quarantine periods for foreigners are yet to be finalized.
