Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla said Saturday it would be "ECQ again" for eight days, as talk swirled of the tightest quarantines being readied in the NCR Plus bubble. He later deleted the social media post.
Remulla said the ECQ would run from Sunday, March 28 until the next Sunday, April 4. He quoted information from Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque. He did not mention the scope of the ECQ.
A clarification from the Cavite provincial government's verified Facebook account said the information in Remulla's Twitter post in "unofficial until released by the Palace."
Remulla's Facebook post was shared at least 8,000 times before it was taken down.
Laguna Gov. Ramil Hernandez posted about ECQ in his province, which was still ive on Facebook as of 5 :16 p.m.
Cavite is part of NCR Plus along with Metro Manila, Laguna, Bulacan and Rizal. Should the ECQ push through, this would mean further restrictions until the last day of the bubble on April 4.
