Fire hit a residential area in Port Area in Manila on Wednesday afternoon.
The fire was raised to third alarm as of 6:03 p.m., the Bureau of Fire Protection NCR said. It is the third lowest under a 11-step scale that determines how many fire trucks must respond.
The fire bureau added that the houses in the residential area are made of light materials.
The Philippine Red Cross immediately responded to the scene, sending three fire trucks, one water tanker, and four ambulances, according to its chairman Sen. Richard Gordon.
