Globe on Friday advised its customers in Visayas and Mindanao of possible difficulty in accessing the telecommunications provider's services following the onslaught of Typhoon Odette (Rai).
Services affected by the typhoon include GCash Buy Load, AMAX, Share-a-Load, Promo registration and Emergency Load Services, the Ayala-led telco said.
"Outages were caused by multiple fiber cuts and the lack of commercial power," Globe said.
Here are the affected areas according to Globe:
- Leyte
- Cebu
- Surigao del Norte
- Southern Leyte
- Bohol
- Surigao del Sur
- Negros Occidental
- Negros Oriental
- Dinagat Islands
- Agusan del Norte
- Zamboanga del Sur
- Samar
- Iloilo
- Eastern Samar
- Siquijor
- Guimaras
- Zamboanga Sibugay
- Western Samar
- Bukidnon
- Camiguin
Restoration efforts are ongoing as of Friday morning, Globe said.
Globe's [email protected] Postpaid, Broadband Wireline services and GOMO services meanwhile remain available to customers.
Typhoon Odette submerged several communities in Visayas and Mindanao, prompting thousands to flee their homes a week before Christmas.
