Hacked: Sen. Gatchalian's Credit Card Used for P1 Million Foodpanda Orders

MANILA -- Senator Sherwin Gatchalian said Wednesday his credit card was hacked to make P1 million in purchases from foodpanda in less than one hour.

The hacker changed the registered phone number wheren the lawmaker from Valenzuela gets his OTPs or one-time passwords, Gatchalian said.

Gatchalian posted transaction records, which were made on Jan. 5 from 4:47 p.m. and 5:49 p.m.



"My credit card has just been hacked! May nag order ng P1M worth of food sa Food Panda in less than an hour," Gatchalian said. "Ano 'yan lauriat para sa buong barangay?" he said.

"He knew what he was doing. I just don't know how he will eat a million worth of food," he said.

Gatchalian has a net worth of P95 million according to Senate records, making him the ninth richest in the chamber.
