Voter registration areas under MECQ resumed on Sept. 6, including applications for reactivation for those who failed to vote in the past two consecutive elections.

The Commission on Elections has allowed reactivation of voter registration status through email, as long as you have complete biometrics data in the Office of the Election Officer in the locality where you registered.

Other applications that can be through email are the following:

  • Reactivation with Correction of Entries
  • Reactivation with Transfer Within the Same Locality
  • Reactivation with Transfer Within the Same Locality and Correction of Entries
  • Reactivation with Updating of Senior Citizens, PWDs, and Persons Deprive of Liberty Records

If you want to reactivate your voter registration status, make sure to accomplish CEF-1 form and prepare the other requirements such as valid IDs and the supplementary data form for senior citizens, PWDs, and PDLs who want to update their records.

When emailing the requirements, put the type of application in the subject line.

The local Office of the Election Officer will then send you the details for an online interview to confirm your application.

You may also be required to physically visit your local Comelec office if you have incomplete or corrupted biometrics. Additional documents may also be required to support your application.
