Tropical Storm Inday, which is unlikely to make landfall, has entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility on its way to southern Japan, PAGASA said.
The ninth storm to enter PAR this year was packing maximum sustained winds of 75 kph with 90 kph gusts and was spotted 1,215 kilometers east of Central Luzon at 5 a.m., it said.

Inday is expected to intensify into a severe tropical storm within 24 hours, and reach typhoon strength by the weekend as it drifts outside of PAR, PAGASA said.
The storm could enhance the southwest monsoon or habagat during the weekend and bring rains in the Visayas and Southern Luzon, it said.

Luzon
Expect fair weather conditions in the morning, with cloudy skies with high possibility of isolated rains in Bicol Region, Ilocos Region, Cordillera, and Central Luzon.
Visayas and Mindanao
Western Visayas and Bangsamoro Region, Zamboanga Peninsula and Northern Mindanao will have cloudy skies due to the intertropical convergence zone, where winds north and south of the equator meet and thunderstorms are formed. Localized thunderstorms are also likely.
