The Kalibo International Airport in Aklan which services flights to and from Boracay will be on lockdown until Thursday to make way for disinfection against COVID-19.

In an advisory posted on Facebook, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines said the following areas would be closed: the Passenger Terminal Building, ARFF Station, and the CAAP Office.

Normal operations will resume on Friday.
