MRT Still Off Limits to Those Aged 17 and Below

Those aged 17 and below are still prohibited from riding the MRT even as minors in GCQ and MGCQ areas are allowed to leave their homes, management said Tuesday.

"Tanging mga pasaherong may edad 18 hanggang 65 ang pinapayagang makabiyahe sa rail line," the advisory said.

The Inter-Agency Task Force earlier permitted minors as young as five years old to go to parks, playgrounds, beaches, and hiking trails. Minors were previously banned from going outdoors as they were classified as individuals vulnerable to COVID-19.

Commuters permitted to take the MRT-3 must wear face masks and shields at all times, observe physical distancing, and disinfect frequently to prevent the spread of the virus.
