Vice President Leni Robredo on Friday described the presidential elections a long game, with time left on the clock to improve her ratings on surveys.
Robredo said bottom dweller in the surveys was a familiar place for her, having worked from nothing to the vice presidency in 2016. "Ako kasi sanay ako sa mahirap na laban," she said.
"Lagi ko tong sinasabi—lagi akong power of the long game," Ang tao, pag nakita nila yung totoo, alam nila kung paano sila nag-dedesisyon."

In 2013, Robredo powered through low ratings to defeat the Villafuerte clan and represent Camarines Sur's 3rd district in Congress.
Running mate Sen. Francis Pangilinan cited historical data on polling in the country. "It's just a snapshot, and talaga since 2004, lahat ng mga leader leading sa polls at about this time, hindi nanalo," he said.
Around that time, action star Fernando Poe Jr. was leading when it came to ratings, but Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo took the seat.
In 2010, Sen. Manny Villar led the ratings but his colleague, the late President Noynoy Aquino won. Six years later, Vice President Jejomar Binay and Sen. Grace Poe led the opinion polls but incumbent President Rodrigo Duterte peaked just before election day.
"The battle is really from here on until May 9 [2022]," Pangilinan said.
