Police in California said they confiscated a fake driver's license because the ID photo was a dead giveaway, that of Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte.
The name on the license was blurred in the Twitter post by LAPD Rampart Division. California authorities said it was a "good thing" that some of them were used to patroling Filipinotown in Los Angeles.
"Nice try," it said, capping their tweet with some emojis that included a boxing glove and the Philippine flag.
Filipinos on Twitter who caught the post quipped: "Olivia Rodrigo Duterte", in reference to the 2021 hit song 'Driver's License' by Olivia Rodrigo.
