Manila will stop accepting walk-in residents and workers at vaccination sites starting Monday to prevent queues and crowding, city authorities said.
Only those who receive a text from the city's inoculation program will be allowed entry to get their dose, the Manila Public Information Office said.
Senior citizens (A2) and essential workers (A4) will be vaccinated in four sites with 2,500 each. Medical frontliners (A1), seniors (A2), persons with comorbidities (A4) and indigent populations (A5) are set to received their doses in 18 community sites with 1,000 doses each.
Residents and workers must sign up for a vaccine slot online and await a text message. This must be presented on the day of the appointment. No text, no entry.
